Payment Options

Thank you for choosing Benalla Veterinary Clinic for your animal’s treatment.  We encourage you to spend a few minutes to read this section to help you understand the terms and conditions of veterinary treatment and costs.

We accept CASH, CHEQUE, VISA, MASTERCARD, EFTPOS.

Terms and Conditions of Business

Payment for your veterinary services is required at the time of service, unless by prior arrangement. Please have a look at our terms and conditions page for more details.  Some aspects may not apply to you, however for further clarification or explanation please get in touch with us on 5762 2788 or by email - admin@benallavetclinic.com.au

Payment

We encourage all queries relating to the costs of your pet’s treatment be discussed with the veterinarian at the initial consultation. The estimate of the treatment of your pet will be specified on the Consent for Treatment form that you will be asked to sign.

Please appreciate that any estimates given to you by the our staff are estimates only and the cost of treatment can change depending on any extra medication or treatment your pet may require.  Our veterinarians work with your pet’s best interest at heart, and will actively keep you informed as to any unanticipated treatments beyond the estimate.

Financial responsibility

You are required to sign a Consent for Treatment form for the treatment of your pet as discussed with your veterinarian.  A clause in this form specifies that you are responsible for all fees and costs of your pet’s treatment.  In signing this consent form you agree to these terms and accept the liability.

Invoices for additional treatment

Please note that if your pet requires any further revisits or treatment this will be invoiced separately.

Sometimes your pet may require rehabilitation therapy after surgery or injury and these treatments and are not always covered by pet insurance policies.  You will therefore need to check with your insurance provider whether you are able to claim.

VETPAY - financial assistance

If you do not have pet insurance or your policy does not cover the full cost of treatment, and you are not able to meet the costs in one payment, you may be able to help spread your payments through the service of a third party payment plan provider like VETPAY,  subject to you meeting their credit requirements. 

Please note, this financial service must be approved before veterinary treatment can commence.  Applications for credit will often return an answer very quickly, but depending on your financial circumstances the process can take several days.
